Cora Dimm Obituary

COAL TOWNSHIP — Cora Mae Dimm, 91, formerly of West Pine Street, died at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Mountain View Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident since 2007.

Born in Shamokin on July 23, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Reinhard Weber and Christine Thomas.

She attended Coal Township schools.

Cora was married on Dec. 14, 1935 in Shamokin to Emory Ellsworth Dimm, who died on June 29, 1982.

Cora was a housewife.

She was a member of the Salvation Army.

Cora is survived by three sons, Kenneth Dimm and wife Evette ,of Lititz, Lamar Dimm and wife Marie of ,Ocala, Fla., Ronald Dimm and wife Nancy, of Shamokin; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

DIMM — Cora Mae Dimm, 91, formerly of W. Pine St., Coal Township. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the Farrow Funeral Home, Shamokin, with the Major Ruth Pryce, retired. Burial will be in Shamokin Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family requests donations be sent to the Salvation Army, 1300 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, 17866.

I'll never forget the memories I have growing up with my grandparents. Thanksgiving dinners, all my cousins and aunts and uncles... I'll miss you deeply but will always be comforted by the thought I'll see you again one day on streets of Gold.
