Edward Daniel Eavers

Age: 81 • Mt. Solon, VA

Edward "Daniel" Eavers, 81, of Mount Solon, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at his home.

Daniel was born in Augusta County on August 21, 1935, and was a son of the late Mary Louise (Hodge) and Warren Harvey Eavers.

He was a member of Mount Solon Pentecostal Church, and was an avid Washington National's fan. He enjoyed Bluegrass/Gospel by The Deane's, the outdoors, riding through the mountains, and was a lifelong logger and wood cutter.

On September 30, 2000, he was united in marriage to Loretta (Stoutamyer) Eavers, who survives.

Daniel is also survived by a daughter, Dianne Crawford and husband Danny, of Fulks Run; a son,Eddie Eavers and wife Jan, of Staunton; step-daughter, Crystal Shaver and husband Tim, of Churchville; step-son, Toby Painter and wife Glenna, of Stanley; three sisters, Ethel Eavers, of Mt. Solon, Betty Huffman and husband Evertte, of Clover Hill, and Millie Dove and husband Max, of Harrisonburg; brother, Paul Eavers, of Churchville; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kathy Eavers; son-in-law, Charles Turner; special dog, Merra Lee.

He is preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Eavers; daughter, Mary Ellen Turner; granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Eavers; sister-in-law, Milly Eavers; two special dogs, Rosco and Peewee.

A memorial service will be conducted 2PM Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Mount Solon Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Charles David Clinedinst officiating.
