Mary Philomena Weldon Naples, FL
Mary Philomena Weldon passed away peacefully, with the presence of her family, at Avow Hospice in Naples, FL at the age of 81 on December 12, 2014.
Mary was part of many activities and groups throughout her life. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph and Mary Hague, on June 2, 1933. She served in the US Navy for 4 years, from 1956 to 1960 and then continued as a military spouse. Her many adventures took her to California, Michigan and Florida; she moved to Naples, FL in 1976. Locally she was a member of Amvets Post 23, participated and helped with behind the scenes at Naples Players and enjoyed bowling with her team. She worked and retired from Publix, while also enjoying real estate sales. When not working, she loved going on cruises and going to the beach to feel the sand between her toes.
Mary is survived by her husband, Howard Weldon, of Naples, FL; they married in 1958, and have enjoyed 56 years of loving marriage. She was a beloved mother to Rosemarie (John O'Driscoll) Grandy and Martina (Dan) Eidson; proud grandmother to James (Layla) Markusson, Kevin Markusson, Douglas (Amanda) Markusson, Brandon (Bethany) Eidson, Victoria (Jon) Cassin, Jaime (Justin) Figueroa, Susan Markusson, TJ (Bianca) O'Driscoll, Nick (Alexis) Eidson, Mitchell Grandy; loving great-grandmother to Jordynn Cassin, Preston, Skylar and the late Aden Figueroa, Connor O'Driscoll, James and Sadie Markusson.
