Ronald Duane Eacker

1949 - 2022

Ronald D. Eacker, 73, passed away on Jan. 13, 2022, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born Jan. 1, 1949, in Kearney, Nebraska, to parents Shirley Noe and Robert Eacker.
The oldest of 11 siblings, Ronald served in Vietnam at the age of 18. After the Army, he went to Iowa and worked in a machine shop before following in Robert Eacker's footsteps as a log hauler for many years in Montana before venturing into long haul trucking and eventually going north to Alaska.
Ronald was a man full of wisdom and advice and a good friend to many-always lending a hand if needed. His interests over the years have included morning coffee at the local diner, The Flathead Valley Trap Club, fish frys, golf, Texas hold 'em, riding his trike and watching old westerns.
He is survived by his children Terry Eacker and spouse Michelle, of Montana; Troy Eacker and spouse Tammy, of Illinois; Michelle Eacker-Randles, of Iowa; James Eacker, of Montana; Erin Eacker-Gilligan, of Alaska; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Robin, brothers Billy and Tommy, and his wife Pamela Thompson- Eacker.
A celebration of life for Ronald will be held on Feb. 20, 2022, at 2?p.m. at Club Soda, 1855 Van Horn Rd., Fairbanks, Alaska.
