Tristan Vent Obituary

Tristan Percy Nelson Vent, 19, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Sept. 16, 2015, surrounded by family. Tristan was born to Paula Bifelt and Nelson Vent on Dec. 25, 1995. Our Christmas blessing was born under the tree! Everyone remembers him having a big nuisance smile and always being happy to everyone. He was so full of life, love and happiness. All his friends were able to confide in him. He never had anything bad to say about anyone. He was very polite and always stopped to visit elders. He enjoyed hunting with his friends, excelled at both basketball and softball, and enjoyed listening to music. His favorite song was "Three Little Birds." He was proud to work in Hog River. Tristan left us all too soon. There's a lot he wasn't able to accomplish, but we will all do it for him. He'll live on through his friends. At age 1, Tristan lost his best friend to a terminal illness. Years later, when Tristan was in junior high or high school, he asked his cousin Danielle, "How old do you have to be to be an organ donor? Because if I could have saved my cousin Kam, I would have." That shows how very caring and selfless Tristan was. Tristan will be laid to rest next to his cousin and childhood best friend Kameron Ballard-Huffman at the Huslia Cemetery. They are together again. Tristan chose to be an organ donor at age 15. When he went to be with the Lord, he saved several lives as well by donating a few of his precious organs. Tristan is survived by his mother, Paula Bifelt, father, Nelson Vent, brothers, Ivan (Margaret) and Victor Vent, and sister, Nicole Bifelt. Nephews and niece, Landon and Brielle Vent and Evan Sam. Paternal grandparents, Freddie and Lorna Vent, maternal grandmother, Edith Bifelt. Godparents, Warner "Tuff-Boy" Vent Jr. and Vivian Bifelt, uncles, James Bifelt, Clyde Bifelt, Henry (Sophie) Beatus, Ricky (Tracy) Vent, aunts, Annie Vent, Marion Bifelt, Ethel (Rick) Wintter, Arla (Vern) Stickman, 'Chele Bifelt, Sonia Vent, Harriet Vent, as well as numerous relatives. Tristan was preceded in death by grandfather, Fred Bifelt, cousins, Kameron Ballard-Huffman, David Vent and Cory Stickman, uncles, Gordon Vent, Leroy Vent, Jeffery Vent, Cue (Madeline) Bifelt, Winkler Bifelt, and Lincoln Bifelt, and aunt, Freda Vent.
Here is a poem from Tristan: "One thing I have not been able to do is hate something or someone. I hope you don't hate anything. If you think about it, it's not worth it to hate anything. But there is a tremendous gain to LOVING everything! I pray that you see what I'm saying. It's just a thought I had this morning. I miss you and love you" Written July 2015.

Tristan Vent had a very strong character.
I remember times when he would help a little kid play basketball or would make people feel happy with his smile.
He was very strong and had the capability to make a difference.

I am so happy I got to know him.

For all who have been hurt by this loss, I am praying that we will all remember that a part of him is still with us.

It has been very sad & bittersweet these last few weeks. The first week was hopeful that Tristan would pull through the ordeal then the realization he would not. For those that knew Tristan, it was not surprising he was an organ donor. His gifts he generously parted with helped several people gain a second chance at life. Tristan was definately a special person, he was born on Christmas Day at home in Huslia. His many nicknames were testimony to his connection to his family and friends...."Treasure"..."Handsome" and some even went as far to affectionately call him "Baby Jesus". Life often throws a curve that is hard to understand and the reason Tristan's life came to a sad, abrupt end is one of them. One thing is for certain Tristan will always be connected to us in love, memory, spirit, and be our beloved "Christmas Boy". RIP Trist......and may God provide comfort & guidance to Aunt Paula & family and the Vent family. We have to take Tristan's thought and belief to love everything, as there is tremendous gain to do so.
