Raleigh, North Carolina - Acine Salim Lahoud, age 92, passed away on March 12, 2021, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
She was born in 1929, in Lebanon, to Salim and
Mariam Lahoud, as the third of seven children.
In the U.S., Acine had multiple careers including starting a family restaurant with her husband and sons in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. In addition, Acine worked at other restaurants and received many recognitions and awards.
Acine was known for her compassion, empathy, pride, and joyfulness. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
She will be survived by her sons, Nehme, Chawki, and Hilmi; her daughters, Zahia and Fadia; her daughters-in-law, Roda and Aline; her son-in-law, Tanios Najm; her grandchildren, Rony, Teddy, Rouba, Lara, Thomas, Andrew, Christine, Catherine, Anthony, Michael, Maghen, Matthew, Michelle, Nadine, Joseph, Caline, and Roland; Her twelve great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Assaad and her sons, Bill and Michael; her brothers, Najib, Said, Habib, Hasib, and Rachid.
There will be a wake held at Capital Funeral Home, 2205 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC, on Saturday March 20, 2021, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. COVID-19 rules apply.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church, Raleigh, NC 27614. After the Mass, a Burial Service will be held by her family at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest, NC.
