Albert E. Hare

Albert Edward Hare, 83, and his beloved wife, MinnieBell, of 1891 Dan Road, Robbins, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Bascom Chapel UMC, where he was a member, with the Rev. Jay Bissett, Rev. Leon Fowler, and Rev. Buck Frye officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Albert was a precious loving husband, daddy, granddaddy, and brother. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his joy in life along with his wide circle of friends.
We cherish our times spent with Daddy, listening to his many stories of childhood, sharing meals and singing together. Daddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wrestling, and especially caring for his farm animalsand pets. He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
He was born on July 9, 1922, to the late Stokes and Minnie Brown Hare. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Mildred Moore Hare, infant grandson, Baby Caddell; sisters, Edna Cagle, Ruby Comer; brothers, Norman, Alton, and Marvin Hare.
He was a WWII US Navy veteran and retired from Clayson Knitting Co., Inc.
He is survived by daughter, Shirley Brewer and husband, Joe, of Seagrove; son, Edward Hare and wife, Paula, of Forest, VA; daughter, Lennie Caddell and husband, Randell, of Robbins; daughter, Lois McLeod and late husband, Perry,of Robbins; brothers, Odie Hare of Hampton, VA, Russell Hare of Star, Lacy Hare of Robbins; sisters, Dorothy Miller of Robbins, Mary Cole of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Sheila Brewer, Glenn Brewer, Greg Hare, Travis Hare, Stacy Caddell, and fiancee', Jeff Covington, Laura Caddell Phillips and husband, Daniel, Stephen McLeod; step-grandson, David Randell McLeod.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and at other times at the home of Lennie and Randall Caddell, 1963 Dan Road, Robbins.
