Anthony Steve McPherson, 40, passed away on April 15, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Credle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Deedy McPherson, daughter, Zoe Trista McPherson of the home and upcoming birth of their daughter, Azura Blair McPherson on May 24, 2012, father, Steve McPherson of Smithfield, mother, Dianne Ballard & husband Rex of Bat Cave, brother, Andy Herring of Whiteville, sister, Deanna McDaniel of Hendersonville, maternal grandmother, Blanchie Cartrette of Chadburn, uncle, Rex McPherson & wife, Gloria of Whiteville. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home. Flowers are appreciative or memorial contributions may be made to C/O UTMA Trust Fund for Zoe McPherson, SECU 502 N. Brightleaf Blvd, Smithfield, NC 27577. DEEDY, I am so blown away by the death of Tony. He was truly an inspiration in leau of his lack of childhood.Spemt time in the military and went on to become a medicHe will be greatly missed. May God be with you and comfort you through this time of need.

I've know Tony since we were boys. He was a good man,a dear freind and a loving father. He will be sorely missed. He was part of our "group" His absence will be felt. Absent from the body, is present with the Lord.
