Fred E. Rogers, 81, of Willow Spring, NC, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest. He was born August 31, 1937, in Wake County to the late Hudie Clellon Rogers and Elsie Mangum Rogers.
He was predeceased by his wife, Donna Rogers, and two brothers, Bryant Rogers of Wake Forest and Donald Rogers of Raleigh. Fred is survived by his son, Kent Rogers and his wife, Carolyn, of Wake Forest, and granddaughter, Stacey Rogers, of Raleigh, a brother, Charles Rogers and his wife, Faye, of Raleigh, and sister in law, Mamie Rogers of Wake Forest, several nieces and nephews. Fred was retired from Brinks Inc and the NC Dept of Corrections. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Stony Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 7521 Stony Hill Rd, Wake Forest NC, with the Rev Mark Harrison officiating. Visitation will be held immediately after the graveside servce. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Home of NC, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27360, or the charity of your choice.

I want to say to ALL of the family. I am so sorry. Fred was a good man and lots of fun. Our families go back as far as I can remember. He will be missed but he is in a better place. We can hope to see him again one day. God bless you all and be with you all in this time and in the many days to come. Remember HE is always with you !!! With love, Cleo and Carl
