Fred Whitaker Obituary

Mr. Fred D. Whitaker, 90, of 111 Old Schoolhouse Trail, Siloam, NC passed away Friday, March 8, 2002 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 11, 1911 in Surry County to Derious Murilla Whitaker and Mary Emma Atkins Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker was a Retired Carpenter, farmer and a member of Stanford United Methodist Church.
He is survived by: One son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Dale Whitaker and wife, Jeanette, Wake Forest; three grandchildren, Michelle Whitaker Kenney and husband, Brad, Siloam, Erin DeAnn Whitaker, Greensboro, Jacob Dylan Whitaker, Wake Forest; one great-grandchild, Brandon Chase Kenney.
Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Money Whitaker.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Stanford United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Patty Chaplin and Rev. Clayton Tilley.
Memorials may be made to Stanford United Methodist Church, C/O JoAnn Dezern, 119 Winsteria Lane, Siloam, NC 27047.
The family will receive friends at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Saturday, March 9, 2002 from 7-8:30 p.m.
The Whitaker Family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home, Pilot Mountain, NC.
