Gregory John Kemper

Pittsboro

Gregory John Kemper, age 54, of Pittsboro, died Monday May 12, 2014 in his home after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born November 26, 1959 in Eau Claire, WI. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service and worked for UNC Hospital for the last 14 years.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Davis Kemper, his parents, Bruce and Barbara Kemper of Chapel Hill, his daughter, Jessie Burns Kemper of the home, a step daughter, Kayla Burns of Pittsboro, his brothers and their wives, Chris and Jane Kemper and Tom and Barb Kemper, all of Wisconsin, two sisters, Kate Bryant of Chapel Hill and Nicole Carswell and her husband Derek of Apex.

A visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00-2:00 PM with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM at Hall Wynne Funeral Services in Pittsboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Chatham County Agency On Aging: Home Care Services, P.O. Box 715, Pittsboro, NC 27312, (919) 542-4512.
