Zebulon

Jane Rogers Brannan passed away on July 8, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Harry Thomas Rogers and Margaret Mikkelsen Rogers of the Bethlehem community.

Jane's life was devoted to her family, friends, and church. She was proud to be a mother, Grandma B., Godmother, and Aunt Jane. Favorite family occasions included her preparing delicious meals, playing the piano, planning the annual Rogers Christmas party, and hosting her Christmas Eve Open House. Fun times spent with friends included Supper Club meals and card games. Jane was a faithful member of the Zebulon Baptist Church where her services included Cherub Choir pianist, sanctuary choir, hand bell member, youth and adult Sunday school teacher, deacon, endowment trustee, Wednesday night supper cook, Willing Worker's Sunday school class, and member of many committees.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Pauline Arnold, Dorothea Pickard, and Carrie Martin; brothers Harry Rogers Jr., Douglas Rogers, and Lawrence Rogers.

Jane is survived by her husband of 65 years Willie Brannan, Jr.; son Andy Brannan (Mary) of Zebulon; daughter Abigail Brannan (Dave Matthews) of Dunedin, Florida; grandchildren Melissa Brannan of Greensboro and Milton Brannan of Zebulon; siblings Max Rogers of Florence, S.C. and Inga Grayson of Charleston, S.C.; best friend Shannon Speller of Zebulon; and many nieces and nephew.
