1. Medicine and Beyond, c/o Matthew Rees, MD, 181 Daniel Road, Forest City, North Carolina 28043. Medicine and Beyond is a non-profit group dedicated to improving the lives of people in Burma. We work within the existing healthcare system by assisting providers with educational and training needs to improve the quality of care provided. Beyond medicine, we support local projects with a focus on educational and economic development.
2. The Rutherford County Schools Education Foundation, 328 West Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.( The Educational Foundation was founded in 2010 for the purpose of supporting the Rutherford County Schools' efforts to provide a world-class education for all students. Specifically, to provide resources beyond traditional funding streams.)
3. The Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation which is dedicated to increasing the college-attendance rate of graduates from Rutherford County Schools. Part of the strategy involves one-on-one mentoring with every high school student in the system's three main high schools. Volunteer mentors at each school -- East Rutherford, Chase and R-S Central -- have set up special funds to aid students in unique situations. These funds take care of many things that students may not have any other means to afford. The monies pay SAT testing fees, purchase graduation robes and regalia, and help with similar other needs. Excess funds in these accounts go to mentor-directed scholarship programs like the EXPO Awards. A memorial donation to these funds will be divided equally among the three schools. Memorials made to the Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation, Mentor Funds, may be sent to P.O. Box 635, Forest City, NC 28043.
First United Methodist Church, 341 East Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
5. Hospice of Rutherford County, Post Office Box 336, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
The Padgett and King Mortuary of Forest City is in charge of arrangements and an online guest registry is available at www.padgettking.com

My dear Jane and Family,
Our next door neighbor when we moved to Smith Grove Road, Forest City back in the 60's. Our children played together, you were a wonderful hostess, you shared so many wonderful recipes, we ate together, so many wonderful memories. Some people are acquaintances, but our friendship was one for life. Our trip back from Calif. was not complete without a visit with Chuck and Jane. We cherished your friendship and now will always hold tight to our memories. We are in shock of your passing, however Chuck is happy to have you home with him. My children Lori, Leisa and Ched with their families send our love to you in this time of grief. Fondly,

Kay Fragale

Jane was my friend for many, many years, starting back in the 7th grade. She was a wonderful, kind, sincere and a very special person - always with a smile on her face. My family shares so many wonderful memories with Jane and Chuck and their boys. She had only kind words for everyone. She did a very personal favor for me once for which I will always be indebted to her for the rest of my life. I will miss Jane terribly.
