Very sorry to know Dr. Cuculo’s passing.
He was a great scientist, a great teacher, and a research giant in fiber and polymer science. His life has accomplished so much for so many people.

John was one of my most dear friends and colleague at the College of Textiles and whom I had known from the day he joined the college! Vasudha and I have had many socials with Eve and John at our respectve homes and John and I shared similar interests in the field of Fiber and Polymer Science! John was a world class fiber scientist whom I was priviledged to know and associate with! I shall continue to have fond memories of John and miss him dearly!

I remember Dr. Cuculo as a pillar of the Fiber & Polymer Science program during my years of studies at NCSU. His sharing of knowledge and sincerity in scientific approach was an inspiration to us "kids" who still had alot to learn.

I was sadden to read this morning of John's passing, thou it seems such a long time ago, I do have many fond memories and still carry things I learned from him. I especially appreciate the lunch we shared last year, where I got to catch up a little on the many years since we last talked.
