Dear Debbie, Shaun and Family:
I can only imagine what you must be going through and I'm sure it seems like a nightmare that you wish you could wake up from. I can only say that the Lord never allows us to go through more than we can bear. He will give you the strength and comfort you need to get through this. You have been in my thoughts and in my prayers. I pray continuously that God would wrap His arms around you and carry you through. Debbie, you always were a close friend in school and I want you to know I will always love you - I am so sorry you've had to experience this kind of pain. I pray for your healing and that you would be comforted by knowing Julie is in a perfect place now. Our assurance in salvation is knowing we will meet again one day. No words can express my sympathy - I can only say you are loved and my prayers will continue to be with you throughout the coming difficult months ahead.

Dear family,
Be assured that you are being surrounded by a host of loved ones, friends and the community during the days ahead.
I have so many special memories of your family, Harold being my cousin and then along comes Dot, and then Hal, Julie and Debbie...what a lovely family through the years. You all have been a part of my family and it was always good to come home and see you over the holidays from time to time. What a blessing Jean was as she shared some precious moments with your family and with Harold.
We love you all and we will keep those memories of Julie close to our hearts and we will remember her lovely spirit, beautiful smile, her laughter, her outpouring of care for others, her willingness to reach out to others and to always make you feel so special.
In the Salvation Army when we hear of a loved ones death, we say that "she was Promoted to Glory". yes, Julie has received her promotion now and she has joined her loved ones who have gone on before her. Just to be near the dear Lord I adore, will through the ages be Glory for me.
We know that Julie is not far away. For life goes on. Remember, though you cannot see her or touch her, she will be near and if listen with your heart, you will hear all of her love around you soft and clear. So cherish those precious memories with your heart.
We continue to pray that as your broken heart mends, our Heavenly Father will again allow peace to replace the heartache.
"Wait on the Lord and He shall strengthen thine heart".
"He knows the storms that would your way oppose, He knows and tempers every wind that blows".
May God continue to enfold you during the days ahead and know that we are praying for daily strength, comfort and healing.
Love you all - Hilda

December 13, 2006

I have read this book from the front cover to the very last entry. I have learned a lot about Julie and the wonderful, loving, and caring person she was.

There are not many people blessed with the ability to care for them when they are sick and then in cases of death be able to care for their family so well and with so much compassion. She is truly a wonderful gift from God, an Angel, and she has done so many great things with her life that she has given God a wonderful gift in return.

Like I said in my other entry, I did not know her, but that is my loss, because she was so energetic and full of life, just reading these words of bereavement, Julie was electrifying. I am sure we would have hit it off because I have never met a stranger either.

My heart could not be more heavy if I had known her because of this senseless tragedy and the pain that it has caused so many people, especially her family, friends, and co-workers.

I wish there was something I could do to make it better, to wake us all up from this horrible, horrible, unconscionable nightmare. God has a lot of healing to do in all of our hearts. I know your pain and grief is no comparison to my pain and grief, but I share your pain and grief and I will be glad to do anything I can to help.

It gets harder and more heartbreaking as time goes on. I don't believe I have ever felt this much pain for someone I did not know, but it has really hit me hard. There just seems to be no end to the pain.

God bless and take care

A Life Angel

Julie, something terrible happened to you and we don't understand,
But we know you were special--you were part of God's plan.
As a public servant, you served the sick with respect & grace,
Healing families & calming fears during their hourglass's race.
Your smile, your touch, the words you found
Uplifted the ill when they had every reason to be down.
The good works & deeds that were part of you every single day
Did not leave last Friday when God took you away.
Your time on earth was never in vain,
Your goodness will be cherised forever through sun or rain.
Some angels live amongst us through God's design,
Those chosen early for heaven are His most divine.

Rest in Peace!
