Peter Jerry Wasko

Mr. Peter Jerry Wasko, 58, of 385 Credle Street, Pittsboro, died March 22, 2006 at his residence.
Jerry was born August 5, 1947 in Wake County, the son of Peter Julius and Edith Evelyn Connell Wasko. He was the owner/operator of Wasko Wholesale Produce. Jerry was an avid duck hunter, and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by hismother, Edith Wasko of Pittsboro; two sons, Carl Wasko and his wife, Kelly of Charlotte, Jay Wasko of Pittsboro; a granddaughter, Kinsey Wasko; a sister, Joan Horney and her husband, Bill of Pittsboro; and three nieces.
His wife, Cassie and father, Pete, preceded Jerry in death.
The service to celebrate the life of Jerry Wasko will be conducted by Reverend Troy Lesher-Thomas at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 28, 2006 at Pittsboro Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the Pittsboro United Methodist Church cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Jerry's residence, 385 Credle Street, Pittsboro.
Memorials may be given to either Pittsboro Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 713, Pittsboro, NC 27312; or to the Chatham County Council on Aging, 1401 N. Ross Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344.
