Jeannette Walsh Obituary

Jeannette Marie Royer Walsh passed away on March 20, 2012, in Seattle, WA. The daughter of Isaac L. & Jeannette (Gerz) Royer was born in Lancaster, PA, July 17, 1927. The Royer Family moved to Syracuse, NY, where Jeannette was raised, educated, met, and married T. Edward "Ed" Walsh, Jr. The loving couple found their way to Danbury in 1964, where they raised a family of their own, and were long time parishioners of St. Gregory The Great. When her children grew older, she added to her role as homemaker and took a position at The United Way, where she managed finance for 25 years. Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, parents, sister Veronica "Ronnie" Royer Cotter, Ronnie's husband Kevin Cotter, and brother, Isaac L. "Ike" Royer Jr. She will be missed by Ike's wife, Mitsuko Royer. Jeannette is also survived by her four children, and their families; son Tom, & Julie Walsh, their children Tim & Tricia, son Andrew & Jennifer Walsh, their sons Sam & Nathan, daughter Jeannette & Wally Chen, their sons Griffin & Jacob, son Jonathan Walsh, and his son, Jon, Jr. In her final hours, niece Veronica Cotter Keeley was with Jeannette to bring her comfort, as she passed into eternal life. Veronica, husband Dennis, as well as Ike & Mitsuko's children, their spouses, and grandchildren, are among the loved ones Aunt Jeannette will watch over, from above. Services will be in Seattle, Saturday, March 31 at Wiggen & Sons Funeral Home, 2003 NW 57th St. There will also be a Memorial Mass held in Danbury, at a later date.
