Joseph J. Comba

Joseph J. Comba, 81, died February 21, 2007, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Comba was born in Bronx, N.Y., and was the son of the late Margaret Hart Comba and Joseph J. Comba Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie M. Comba; his daughter, Mary Jo C. Berg; his sisters, Catherine Comba and Margaret Comba.
He attended St. Philip Neri Elementary and Roosevelt High School in Bronx, N.Y. Mr. Comba was a Navy veteran of World War II. From 1948 until 1989, he worked in the photoengraving business in New York City and the Connecticut areas. He retired from Wilbar Photo Engravers, Inc. Stamford, in 1986 and moved from Ridgefield, to Virginia Beach, Va., in 1987 with his wife, Belva Lynn Comba.
Mr. Comba attended Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach and St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Ridgefield.
He is survived by his wife, Belva Lynn Comba of Virginia Beach and Darlington, S.C.; his daughters, Patricia Sykora and her husband Tim of Nicholasville, Ky., Eileen Pambianchi and her husband John of Ridgefield, and Diane Brautigam and her husband Dave of Ridgefield; son-in-law, William Berg Jr. of Ridgefield; his grandchildren, Morgan Sykora of Richmond, Va., Devin Berg, Matthew Pambianchi and Nicholas Pambianchi all of Ridgefield; his sisters, Dorothy Reilly of Bronx, N.Y. and Ethel Reimer of Cascade, Colo.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday 10:15 a.m. February 27, 2007 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Ridgefield, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery also in Ridgefield.
The family will receive friends Monday in the Kane Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
