William Bahret Obituary
Aug. 29,1930 - Dec. 13, 2023
Southbury- William H. Bahret, 93, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023 with his devoted friend Art Mulligan by his side.
Bill was a graduate of both the University of Connecticut and Danbury State Teachers College. A lifelong resident of Danbury, he was a professor of music and taught for 40 years in the Stamford School system. He loved being able to introduce his young pupils to the joys of music and share his deep knowledge of Opera with his friends and colleagues.
Besides being an opera aficionado, Bill was a Korean War Veteran, semi-pro tennis player and an inveterate fisherman.
He is survived by his nieces, Donna Moutier and Lucinda Cawley of Syracuse, NY, who wish to thank his steadfast caregivers for their kindness to him and the sense of humor they all shared.
He will be interred in his family's plot in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Bill's memory. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.munsonloveterefuneralhome.com.
