Jeremy S. "Noodle" Miner

1977 - 2018

NEW CREEK - Jeremy S. "Noodle" Miner, 41, of New Creek, WV, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at his father's residence in New Creek.
Born on June 3, 1977 at Cumberland, MD, he was a son of Stephen W. Miner of New Creek and the late Donna M. (Shrout) Miner. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Vada Miner and Donnie and Maude Shrout and two uncles, Thomas Miner and Dale Houdersheldt.
"Noodle" or "Jake," as he was affectionately known by family and friends since middle school, was a 1995 graduate of Keyser High School and the Mineral County Vocational Technical Center. He was formerly employed as a waste water treatment operator with both the cities of Keyser and Short Gap, WV and also was co-owner with Jim Hoffman of J & J Environmental. He attended the Mount Zion Church on Knobley Road, Keyser, and was an avid motorcyclist and drag racer. He also enjoyed hunting.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are one son, Jayden Miner, and a stepson, Justin Shillingburg, both of New Creek; a brother, Stephen D. Miner of Keyser; a sister, Trina Wilson and husband Edward of Swanton, MD; nieces, Leah Moran and Carlee Wilson and a nephew, Stephen H. Miner. Also surviving are aunts, Sue Hines and husband Abe of Keyser, Charlotte Delilo and husband Eugene of McCoole, MD, Rita Houdersheldt and Bonnie Miner, both of Keyser; an uncle, Danny Shrout and wife Kim of Fairmont, WV and numerous cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 2-4 p.m.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation with Pastor Jerry Eisenhour officiating.
