Curtis George "Sarge" Sexton

1926 - 2021

Curtis George "Sarge" Sexton, 95, a resident of Marble Falls, died October 27, 2021, at Hillcrest Home.
He was born February 28, 1926, at Mt. Judea to Joseph McKinley and Margaret L. Reddell Sexton. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He married Miss Betty Jean Carmack on January 8, 1955, at Lurton and retired from Rock Tenn after 21 years, where he worked as a shipping clerk. He was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church and enjoyed watching sports on television and taking care of his animals. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Sexton; two brothers, Homer and his twin, Kurt Sexton; and a sister, Mary Holt.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Sexton of Marble Falls; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scot Alan and Cindy Sexton and Paul Wayne and Sherri Sexton, all of Marble Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy E. and Sam Scroggins of Harrison; eight grandchildren, Steve and Clay Robison, Ashton and Alan Sexton, Brittany Robinson, Haley and Emily Sexton, and Ashlee Scroggins; four great-grandchildren, Karlie, Chloe, Caroline, and Kadee Robison; a sister, Ruth Collins of Bergman; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Active pallbearers will be Gerald Taylor, Sam Scroggins, Steve and Clay Robison, and Ashton and Alan Sexton. Honorary pallbearers will be E. L. Hefley, members of Elmwood Baptist Church, staff of Hillcrest Home, and Dr. Shrum and his staff.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 29th at the funeral home.
