BRUNO F. SURACI Sr.

1944 - 2017

Bruno Frank Suraci, Sr., 72, of North Haven passed away on Thursday March 30, 2017 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Karen A. DeFeo Suraci. Bruno was born in New Haven on September 26, 1944; son of the late Bruno and Nellie Wyatt Broukar Suraci; he and his brother Dominic were the co-owners of the former Post Road Auto Body; he was the owner and operator of B.F. Suraci Spray & Paint Inc. for many years and was also very involved with real estate. Bruno was an athletic enthusiast, enjoyed swimming and was a member of the swim masters of North Haven, enjoyed bicycling, hiking, was an excellent softball player having played at Painters Park in West Haven and also enjoyed yoga. Father of Bruno (Tamara) Suraci and Mark Suraci. Grandfather of Cassandra Lyn Suraci, Marc Sebastian Suraci, Bruno Nicholas Suraci and Callie Suraci. Brother of Winifred, Dominic, Betsy, Timothy (Deborah) Suraci and the late John Suraci. Predeceased by a daughter-in-law Roseann Russo-Suraci. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, his loving companion, Susan Giddings and his beloved dog, Ruckus. Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning, April 5th at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 4th from 4 to 8 pm.
