Today is the day of your funeral and I am still in shock. You were one of my best friends for over 20 years and there for me in ways no one will ever really know. We would always talk and laugh about everything for hours. You were silly yet philosophical at the same time....my sounding board. I miss you. You will never be forgotten and will forever be in my heart. Love you always......

I don't know where to begin. I miss you so much; just knowing that you are no longer around breaks my heart. I have loved you since the day that you were born. You will always be my baby.
May God keep you.

Charles was a sweet, sweet kid in high school. I haven't seen his face in over 20 years and am immediately reminded of this. My prayers are with his family and loved ones.

Charles! You were my first boyfriend and my first kiss. We were both so young! I will always remember you signing your letters to me, "Charles Clifton Knight IV," and keeping my letters back to you in that "Bunny Bucket." We started beautifully and ended beautifully. We were so lucky. Kisses from here to heaven!
