DC, as Dr. Colley was known to the generations of radiology residents he impacted, was one of kind. I always looked forward to going through a stack of films with him. He could make the serious, sometimes stressful, business of learning to be a radiologist enjoyable. He had vast medical knowledge and experience that he generously shared, but it was his dry, sometimes sarcastic, humor that set him apart. With a simple quip he could reduce a complex a exam to its bare essentials. One of my favorites is a good example;
"It´s either cancer or something else." Hardly a week went by where I wouldn´t recall a DC pearl of wisdom to help get me through a tough case.
DC, one final thank you for all you have meant to me.

Hello Barbara, Ann and Erin,
We are so sorry to hear the sad news. I will miss David's friendship. Cameron sent me a message when he heard the news.
In the mid 70's his favorite baseball team was the Reds and he always wore the Reds cap. He said he got such a kick out of the Reds cap in the back of David's car. Unfortunately, Linda will not be able to attend the funeral as she will be picking up Cameron at the airport.
We all send our love to everyone.
Sincerely,
Jerry and Linda
