Diane Martino Cusack of North Haven died Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of Jason T. Cusack. Diane was born in Bridgeport July 30, 1977, daughter of John and Carol Schiavone Martino of East Haven. She graduated from Cheshire High School in 1995, received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University and her MBA from Albertus Magnus College. She worked for Yale University as a senior administrative assistant in the master's office at Jonathan Edwards College. She always went above and beyond for the students at the university, continuing to meet their needs even while struggling with her own illness. She was a volunteer at St. Baldrick's. Diane was known for her infectious smile and enjoyed her beach club, cruising, Block Island, and kitchen dance parties. She loved the St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Emerald Society, she enjoyed planning all of the Cusack and Martino family events and cousin nights, but most of all she will be remembered for her strength and her fighting spirit as she fought her illness. She loved being a mother and serving as room mom and baking for her kids. Besides Jason and her parents, Diane is survived by her daughters, Maia Cusack of North Haven and McKayla Cusack of West Haven; her brother, John (Natalie) Martino of PA, her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Margie Cusack of Branford; her brothers-in-law, William (Melissa) Cusack of Meriden, Steven Cusack of Branford and Christopher (Casey) Cusack of Tampa, FL; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Monday January 10th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven, everyone meets directly at church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
