John was definitely one of the good guys. Even though he traveled the world, he was always humble, and was always ready with a kind word or gesture. His telltale smile always put everyone at ease, whether it was coaching youth sports in Northford, or just hanging out. We shared many laughs and great moments together. He will surely be missed.

To Cindy, Justine, Jon, and The McCarroll family,
Sending our love and support, despite our heavy hearts. Remembering how much fun John was to be with, and how many life lessons he taught us. He gave his all to his family, his job, his coaching, and his friends. Most importantly, he did it all with a smile. He was such a stand up guy. We will surely miss his ability to be both mischievous and serious at the same time. We will never forget the twinkle in his eye, his easy laugh, and his helpful, caring ways.

Cynthia, I am so sorry to read about John's passing. We worked together at the former Second National Bank in the early 1970's, and later Justine and Holly were in the same Girl Scout troop. John was a first class person!
