Marion Rook Obituary
Marion G. Rook, 101, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19th, 2025, at her home, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Otto M. Rook, Jr. Born in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on August 2nd, 1924, Marion was the daughter of the late James and Bessie. Predeceased by her sisters, Gertrude, Joyce; and her brother, William. She enjoyed a long and meaningful life filled with family, cherished hobbies, and memorable moments. A dedicated UConn Women's Basketball fan, she followed her team faithfully. Marion's talent for crafting and sewing was evident in all she created. She also took great pleasure in baking, especially anything sweet, and in tending to her flower beds. Marion and Otto shared many wonderful years together, including countless memories traveling throughout New England in their 1929 Ford Model "A" as members of the Ford Model "A" Club. Above all, Marion treasured her family. She is survived by her children, Paul (Claire) Rook and Lynn Rook; her loving grandchildren, Sarah and Max. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 26th, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montowese Baptist Church, 201 Quinnipiac Avenue, North Haven, CT 06473.

Dear Lynn~~
I was so saddened to learn of Marion's passing. I have many fond memories of time spent with Bill, Marion, Gertrude, and Joyce~~and the many people in the next generation! What fun we had at the annual July 4th reunions on Rowe Street. Her passing marks the end of an era in your family that will never be duplicated. Both my parents passed in the space of a year, and no matter that they were old, had lived good lives, and were "ready to go", I still miss them terribly. I'm sure you feel the same.
