ROBERT E. GYURKOVICS

1934 - 2017

Robert E. Gyurkovics, 83, Passed away suddenly on July 15, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, CT on March 4, 1934, he was the son of John and Marion (Ferris) Gyurkovics. Prior to his retirement in 1996, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1953-1957. He was an avid Yankees fan. He also enjoyed hunting and loved life in New Hampshire. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jeanie (McGuire) Gyurkovics, his sons Daniel (Kim) Gyurkovics of Orange, CT; and Robert (Sandra) Gyurkovics of Marysville, WA; daughters; Marci DeBiaso of Orange, CT; Jeanie (Joseph) Giaquinto of West Haven, CT; five grandchildren: Gregory and Matthew Giaquinto; Julian, Gabriel and Liana Gyurkovics, and two great-grandchildren: Jack and Owen Giaquinto. He was predeceased by his parents and brother John George. He is also survived by his loyal dog companions, Jake, Jesse and Bubba. Services will be private.
