I still think of dear Dr. Lebson all the time, these days, and miss the way it felt to have a REAL doctor whom I could contact when I had a concern about my health. His passing was the end of an age for me.

Dr. Lebson was my family doctor for decades. He took care of my family and many friends of whom we recommended his service. I knew he deserved to retire however my family was at a great lost. Many years have passed and we still to this day will say " There is nothing out there like the professional and caring service we recieved with Dr. Lebson." and "They don't make them like Dr. Lebson any more." I will always cherish the years we had with him. He was a god sent. God Bless him and his family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Lebson. Who is my doctor When I first moved to Connecticut. I always admired his attention yeah to the details whenever I had a consultation. He always took time to hear everything you had to say and asked detailed questions to make the best diagnosis. He was always kind and compassionate. I send my condolences to his family and will keep all of them in my thoughts and prayers.

This morning I was struggling with a chronic sinus problem. I again thought of my original family doctor, Dr. Lebson and how he would have resolved this issue. I then thought of going online to see an update on him and sadly I came across his obituary form almost a year ago. Dr. Lebson was truly the best authentic doctor ever. He was personal-able and professional. He cared whole heartily and holistically for his patients and took what ever time was needed to resolve the illness. He listen and took notes beyond any doctor I have ever experience. He was our family doctor for over 30 years. His retirement was well deserved but it changed our lives drastically. We never found a doctor with such care again. They don't make them like Dr. Lebson. Ever time I get sick, I still think of him. My husband and I will often be reminded and comment about how his retirement was such a lost for us and the medical profession. We were truly thankful and blessed to have him when we did. Will always be grateful for all the professional and genuine care he gave us. Thank you Dear Dr. Lebson, rest in peace.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved stepfather. He sounded like a really special person and a great doctor - one the medical profession could use more of!

May warm memories bring you and your family comfort during this time of sorrow.

Condolences to his family and a thank
you to this marvelous human being who
took such good care of my two late mentors.
Two people who weren't prone to trusting doctors
in general..until a surgeon recommended this
doctor. They simply loved him and he took
such good care of them for many years. A rare
breed.

I'm sad to read that the kindness and wisdom so clear in your stepfather's face are available now only through memory.

You, your mother, your sons, and your tribe large and small have clearly lost one great guy.

Sent with much sympathy, fondness, and respect.

Rabbi Berkman~ I'm so sorry for the loss of your step-dad. Reading some of the messages written, he certainly sounds like he was very caring towards his patients, listened to their needs and tried to treat them so well, a true testament! May your families all celebrate the wonderful memories made & shared together. ~Spence

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Lebson's passing. He was my doctor for 30 years until I moved to Massachusetts in 2010. After I relocated, I had a health scare. I immediately thought of Dr.Lebson and returned to Connecticut for an office visit. To date, I have not found a doctor that has inspired the confidence and had the competency of Dr.Lebson. I truly miss him as a doctor and a person. My sincere condolences to all of the family.

I was one of his patients in Hamden. When I moved from NY to Connecticut I unsure of what doctor would take me. I found him in a phone book and that day and 3 years later he was my doctor. Dear Dr. Lebson I will surely miss you and how you took of my medical needs. If I had a problem you were there to diagnose it and cure it. You were the best!! Rest in peace sweet man knowing your patients, friends, and loved ones will miss you everyday.
Love and light to you always

I discovered in the fall that Robert and I, as 1956 graduates of Teaneck, NJ high school, were both living in Hamden. I tried to e-mail him unsuccessfully in the fall. I was in 1952 Whitney Ave. this morning on other business. I stopped in his office to make contact at which time I was sadly informed of his passing a few days ago. We were both involved in THS baseball and the chemistry club. My condolences to the family.

June 22, 1978, well over forty years ago, was my initial consultation with Dr. Lebson, who cared for me until he closed his practice several years ago, and then, again, for a short time, when he returned to work again for a year or so, and I learned he was in practice again.

I am very grieved to learn that this greatest of compassionate healers has left us at last. He really was quite the dinosaur, as I often joked with hima trip back in a time machine to when ones family doctor was like part of ones family. There are so many stories I could tell that could illustrate the depth of his compassion and his vocation as a doctor

But what I always told everybody is that, whereas, in MOST doctor's waiting rooms, you'd see, prominently displayed, all sorts of tiresome policies concerning INSURANCE companies . . . when you waited for Dr. Lebson, up on the wall, there was the HIPPICRATIC OATH, in both English translation, and the original Greek!

One almost feels like reciting that, along with the Kaddish, when it comes to Dr. Lebson. He really lived that oath, all of his life.

And I hope his family, in their grief over losing him, know that the news is travelling quickly now, among the many, many, many others who regarded their family doctor as familyand we are all grieving along with all of you.
