Peter Hirsch Obituary

ANDOVER TWP. - Peter Edward Hirsch, 51, of Andover Township, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Andover Subacute & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Ridgewood, Peter was raised in Upper Saddle River and moved to the SCARC Hampton group home in Sussex County in 1998. He competed in the Special Olympics, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed sports, music and dancing. He was very involved in all SCARC activities.

The son of Curt Walter and LaVonne D. (Peters) Hirsch of Wantage, Peter also is survived by two brothers, Curt B. Hirsch and Walter Alan Hirsch, both of Storrs, Conn.; two sisters, Nanette Pearce of Walden, N.Y., and Marie Goodwin of Ogdensburg; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Route 94, Hardyston.
