Janet Butler Obituary
Janet L. Butler, of Estero, FL peacefully passed away on October 22, 2015 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice after an extended illness. Janet was born September 10, 1930 in Norwood, OH a daughter of the late Charles and Madeline (Sponsel) Fischer. A former resident of Ft. Thomas, KY she had resided in Estero since 1988. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William Harvey Butler. She was a devoted mother to Judith Butler Gallagher (Michael) of Glendale, AZ and Timothy William Butler (Yu Juan) of Ft. Myers, FL as well as grandsons, Colin and Cassidy Butler. She is also survived by brother, Robert Charles Fischer, Carrolton, GA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson Brian Butler. She was a member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Community and the San Carlos Golf Club. Janet loved to spend time with her family, travel, play bridge, golf, read and sew. She will be dearly missed. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33967. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in her name be made to Joanne's House at Hope Hospice 27100 Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
