John Arlinghaus Obituary
John Arlinghaus, 90, of Ft. Thomas, passed away on January 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ft. Thomas, KY. He was a serviceman with Arlinghaus builders and a proud World War II army veteran. John was a World War II enthusiast and a history buff. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and UK basketball fan, as well as a handyman; there wasn't anything he couldn't fix for his kids. John was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Anna (Gripshover) Arlinghaus, brothers, Norman, Arthur, Albert, Joseph, Robert, Tom and Lou Arlinghaus and sisters, Sally Brake, Mae Schroder and Loretta Feldmann. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet (Trauth) Arlinghaus of Ft. Thomas, KY, sons, John (Debbie) Arlinghaus of Edgewood, KY and Christopher (Susan) Arlinghaus of Wilder, KY; daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Donelan of Ft. Thomas, KY; grandchildren, Tom, Lindsey, Mallory and Jacob Myers; brother, Carl (Rita) Arlinghaus of Ft. Mitchell, KY and sisters-in-law, Ruth Arlinghaus, Rita Arlinghaus and Ann Goedde. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas, KY with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 6:00pm. Burial will take place Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas, KY. Memorials are suggested in the form of Masses or to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences can be given at www.dmefuneral.com.
