Mark Studer Obituary

STUDER

Mark Anthony Studer, 55, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his home in Walton, KY following a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Studer, and his loving wife of 13 years, Jan Lewin; his sons from his first marriage to Jackie Rolf, Ben Studer, Jacob Studer, and Joe Studer; his stepchildren, Nick Davis and his wife Amy, and Nathan Davis and his wife Shari; his sisters, Jackie Herzog and her husband Steve, Jamie Bailey and her husband Brian, and Tracy Studer and her boyfriend Adam; grandchildren, Dillan, Maverick, and Elliana Davis, and Peyton and Cole Davis; his nephews, Kory Bailey and Travis Anderson, and many close family and friends. Born on June 10th, 1961, he was raised in Covington, the son of Jack Studer (deceased) and Barbara Studer, and was a lifelong resident of Northern Kentucky. He graduated Covington Catholic High School and worked several jobs throughout his life. He attended Northern Kentucky University where he joined the Army ROTC in 1980 and was a member of U.S. Army Reserve SMP Program, 478th Combat Engineer, Ft. Thomas, KY from 1982-1993. He was a production supervisor at UPS for 10 years, worked in the concrete finishing business for several years, and most recently was a production supervisor at Eagle Manufacturing. Mark will be remembered for his unbridled compassion for others and loving spirit. He did not know a stranger, and if he met someone they weren't strangers for long. He embodied the commandment to 'Love thy neighbor as thyself' and would have literally given the shirt off of his back if he thought someone else needed it. He was an incredibly proud father, a loving husband, and thoughtful friend. A visitation for Mark will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 5PM until the time of the memorial service, 7PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.donate.cancer.org) in honor of Mark. Online condolences can be expressed at :
