So sorry Hughes family for your loss. Barth and I have always enjoyed Mary Ellen's engaging personality. She was always very kind, funny, and inviting to all. We know that this tragedy will leave such a hole in this oh so very loving family. You are all in our hearts and our prayers. May the Lord's peace comfort you as you hug each other and in the days to come. With heartfelt sincerity, Barth and Lisa Adolphson.

Mary Ellen was my classmate at Assumption High and always fun to talk with at high school reunions. She was a beautiful woman and her death is such a tragedy. I think the incident gives us all something to reflect on as we cross a street every day, often with young children. God bless her and your family as you continue to deal with your loss.

Mary Ellen was such a blessing to my family when my mother passed. Such a sweet compassionate woman. Your family taking in my mothers dog trinket when I could not care for her always held a special place in my heart. I am so sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family in this difficult time.
