I'm not at all surprised at the outpouring of love and rememberances in these guest book entries. I moved away from Independence several years ago. But when I recieved this tragic news, all I could think about was how Rick really didn't judge you.He seemed to accept you for who you were and always spoke a kind word.WOW what a role model for all of us.GOD BLESS.

Like most people Joe and I have known Rick our entire lives, from St. Cecilia days onward. My Dad passed a couple of years ago and my first time back at Kroger's afterward I saw him in the parking lot. He came over and told me how sorry he was, he put his arm around me and walked me to my car. I will never forget that kind gesture or the true sincerity in which it was given. He always talked to us about those great-nieces and nephews. He was very proud of his family. God bless you all.

It's so Empty in Independence without your Smile. You didn't know a Stranger Richard. You are one that taught us all it's Good to stop in the middle of whatever it is we're doing to Simply say Hello and Share a Smile. You really gave my "Redheads" someone great to look up to. Heaven sure is Blessed to get those Smiles up there, I have to admit we are all a little jealous down here but I guess we have to share. It's Crazy how lost our town has became. Rest in Paradise and Keep Spreading that endless Love you carry for each and Every person you meet!! Smiles

There was never a time in my life that I never knew you, Our families joined together by marriage before my birth. I never heard a cross word leave you mouth, unless of coarse we were talking about the steelers.
Rick you are a wonderful person that has touched so many people in independence and all over Kenton County. Every one has lost a friend. A friend that always would say hello, a friend that never asked for anything except acknowledgement , a friend that said , I will pray for you and your family, when going through bad times, and really meant it... You are the purest form of goodness to ever cross my path. Megan , Macy ,Madison ,Robyn, and I will all miss you. Thank you for being you. I love you and am proud to have known you.
