Angela Dupre Obituary

Angela Maria Alexis Dupre, "Angie", was born on April 10, 1971 to Lincoln Alexis Jr., and Donna (Patnett) Alexis in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended and graduated from Cabrini High School in 1989. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Pre-Med (1994) and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2000, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Angie married Dennis Dupre in 1997. To this union, two children were born, Ashlynn Marie in 2001, and Antoine Joseph V, "AJ," in 2007. Angie was a loving and dedicated mother despite the professional demands as a career pharmacist primarily at Winn-Dixie Pharmacy. She resumed her work as a pharmacist at Steeplechase Plaza Pharmacy in Texas following the personal upheaval of relocating from New Orleans to Houston after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Angie touched many lives with her gentle spirit and her thoughtful and kind heart. A beautiful person to be around, Angie leaves fond memories to be cherished by her parents, children, sister Leslie Alexis (Ken) Mask, a nephew, Joshua, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Angie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lincoln J. Alexis Sr., and Addie (Wilcox) Alexis and Herbert and Joyce (Ferrouillet) Patnett. Friends and family members can fondly recall how when they were troubled or presented a problem to Angie, she would immediately invoke the Novena to the Divine Child Jesus: Divine Child Jesus, we believe in You; We adore You; and we love You; have mercy on us, sinners. All this we ask through the intercession of your Holy Mother, Mary, and in Your powerful and Most Holy Name, Jesus. Amen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 11:00 am; Visitation will begin at 10:00 am; Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery; Arrangements by DW Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave.; Please visit www.rhodesfuneral.com to sign the guest book.

Gosh! I can't believe your gone! You should not be gone so young. I remember talking to you I met you for the first time when you were 27 and I was 19. We connected immediately, my cousin I'd never met. Yes you, we're kind, friendly, humble, and very sweet character. I miss you and wish you didn't go away. I ask why, but I know you would want me to go on. I love ❤ you sweetie. Gosh, Angela I don't believe this.

A special person remembered and a beautiful life honored. There are so many memories that will always bring a smile but only if I had a second to have you back then we could sit, laugh and talk again like we use to. You always meant so much to me and always will have a special place in my heart forever. So Rest In Peace and let your soul fly free because hopefully one day I will join your glorious flight for eternity. I pray for the family and friends in this tragedy. Love always!
