Dear Mrs Rosemary & Family, We are so sorry to have read about Mr. Fred's death. It broke our hearts and he will be truly missed. He was known by many, if only for his second love, LSU!!! You would have thought he won the lottery when we won the national championship! The "Tigers" have lost one of the Greatest and most loyal of fans. We had appointments in N.O., and were unable to be with you and your family. We stopped in Academy and I can't tell you the chills it gave us, a memorial set-up in his honor! It was unbelieveable to see the effection and love his fellow employees displayed. The community has lost a great man and he will be missed. Our special memories and prayers will be with all of you as you greive. Charlie & Windy

My heart and my prayers are with you. Every time I saw Mr. Fred he had a smile on his face. I still think of him every time the LSU fight song is played and how he would play it over the intercom at work. I'll miss him. If there is anything you need, just let me know.

Although I only knew Mr. Posey as an employee of Academy, he truly touched my life. His smile and great enthusiasm for life were geniune and his love for LSU was infectious. He was so excited when they won the National Championship, and I was so happy for him that they had. I wondered why he was not there greeting the customers so warmly and was very saddened when I learned of his death, only tonight. My condolences go to his family. Anyone who shopped at Academy will certainly miss him. He was a true treasure!

Dear Rosemary, Amy and Katie.
I have never met any of you, I just knew Fred through Academy and dearly loved walking in there and greeting him before he got to greet me. We developed a nice friendship and I never missed a chance to ask about Haley Renee. He was so proud of her and always had plenty of pictures. He loved you all, as I heard about all of you every time. Just know he made a great impact on people and he will be sadly missed. I know I won't enjoy Academy nearly as much, but will remember him fondly-always.

My sister Gail Kieffer, now Gail Ryder, and I were childhood friends of Freddy and Ralph. We lived around the corner from each other, and attended St. Rose of Lima School together. We were very fond of their parents and dearly loved their Mom. She was a very special lady and a wonderful Mother to her two sons. She would have been so proud and delighted to have granddaughters and now a great-granddaughter after raising two boys. She would have loved babysitting and spoiling them. My condolences to Freddy's brother, Ralph, to his wife, Rosemary, his daughters Amy & Kate, and his granddaughter, Hailey. Sorry we will not be with you at the funeral but you are in our prayers. Mrs. Rosemary, Katie, & Amy:
I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Fred was one of the friendliest people that I've ever met and has made a great impact on a lot of lives. Everytime I would run into him at Academy he always would have a smile on his face and always have a positive attitude towards life. I am very lucky to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys and if you ever need anything, I'll always be here to help.
