Charles Lee Hubbard

HUBBARD Dr. Charles Lee Hubbard was born on November 28, 1953. He was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. Son of Rev. Morris Hubbard and the late Burnetta Hubbard. He departed this life at the age of 53 on Sunday, September 16, 2007 in New Orleans, LA. He leaves to cherish in his memory his devoted companion, Doris Bryer; 2 sons: Kendrick L. Hubbard and Justin Bush; a daughter, Da'leesa; 3 sisters: Augustine, Carolyn and Priscilla Hubbard; a brother, Larry Hubbard; 5 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Dr. Hubbard attended Hoffman Elem. and F. P. Richcard, Woodson Middle and Booker T. Washington High Schools, University of New Orleans, Xavier Pre Med Program, Tulane Medical School's MEDREP Research Program, and Harvard Health Careers Summer Program. Dr. Hubbard worked as a substitute teacher. He was an accomplished photographer. He later attended Barry University of Miami, FL where he graduated and received a degree in Podiatric Medicine. Shortly afterward he moved to Murfreesboro, TN, where he worked an internship at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. After the internship, he returned to Miami where he studied at Larkins Community Hospital with a focus in Podiatric Medicine and Wound Care Surgery. Services will be held at Second Zion Baptist Church #2, 3333 Third Street, New Orleans, LA, Friday, September 21, 2007 with Viewing 6:00 p.m. and Service at 7:00 p.m. with the Burial Service on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Woodville, Mississippi.
