Denise Palmer Obituary

Denise "Niecy" Marie DeSalle Palmer was born January 2, 1978, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Roy and Elsie DeSalle. She entered eternal life on Monday, April 4, 2023. Denise married Ronnell James Palmer on September 30, 2005. She was born and resided in New Orleans, Louisiana, until 1981, when she, her parents, and siblings relocated to Avondale, Louisiana. Post Katrina, Denise relocated to Huntsville, Alabama where she resided until her death. Denise accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 11, being baptized by Pastor Dr. Calvin Woods of the Greater Liberty Baptist Church. In elementary school, Denise was a Girl Scout Brownie, attended L.W. Higgins High School, earned her certified nursing assistance licenses and worked in healthcare. Denise was the life of the party, an OCD clean freak and always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ronnell Rodney DeSalle, siblings, Stephanie James, Darlene DeSalle and only brother, Donald DeSalle, maternal grandparents Edward and Bernice LaBeau, and paternal grandparents Adam DeSalle, Sr. and Bertha Caesar. She is survived by her children, Johnesia De-Jon DeSalle, and Ronsheia Carrie DeSalle; her sisters, Dr. Pamela Douglas-Ntagha (Dr. John), Veronica Douglas, Wanda DeSalle (Hezron), Donna Sipp (Emmett), Paulette DeSalle, Barbara DeSalle, mother-in-law, Doris Palmer, adopted uncle and aunt David & Cynthia Sanders of Huntsville, Alabama, family matriarch and cousin Gwendolyn Franklin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Relatives and friends are all invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00AM, at Professional Funeral Services, 1449 N. Claiborne Ave. NOLA 70116.
