Dorothy Mildred 'Sister' Englade Gaudet

Dorothy Mildred "Sister" Englade Gaudet entered peacefully into heaven on Sunday, Feburary 18, 2018. She was born on February 13, 1923 in New Orleans, LA. Devoted wife of the late Gilbert Gaudet for 72 years. A loving mother of Beverly Gaudet Lauland (Eric, Sr.), Larry Gaudet (Barbara) and Sharon Gaudet Sunday. A proud grandmother of Melissa Lauland, Julie Gaudet, Lonnie Gaudet and the late Eric Lauland, Jr. Great grandmother of Cyle Berkesch. Daughter of the late Odette Dupuis Englade and Israel Englade, Sr. Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Alfred Englade (Joyce), Israel "Brother" Englade, Jr. (Katie), Doris Kight (Darrel), Edward Englade (Joyce), Russell Englade and Dennis Englade. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 95, a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in the church with the Legion of Mary, bingo, cooking and mostly spending time with her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, 146 Fourth St., Westwego, LA on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA from 9:00 am until 11:30 am and processing to the Church for Mass.
