I cannot express the pain I felt when if heard of Eddie's death. Truly my heart goes out to you Gail and the family. I will always remember all the trip Eddie and I took to watch his boys and the wildcats. Nothing but good times. Rest in peace Eddie. We will miss you.

To Gail:Whenever your feeling down and lonely remember That the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you.

And always read Psalms 23

First I would like to thank, my nephew Jason Scarabin, for putting this on the internet, what a tribute to Eddie. Eddie was a gentle gaint that touched many, many people. He truly tried to help all people, especially youth & teens and not only in sports but in everyday life. He was an (on hands Dad & Paw) no matter what they were doing he was at their sides, supporting, encouraging, and loving them with each step they took, how blessed they must feel to be able to call him, Dad or Paw. Eddie had a way with people that made them feel better, and he could always make you laugh. As for me, I'm proud my sister choose Eddie Portie to be her husband, Eddie always referred to Gail as his Queen and treated her as such. The community as lost dearly. Eddie you will be missed but you will forever live in our hearts and soul. Until we meet again, thanks for the memories all my love, Wendy Fitzgerald

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Gail and the kids. I am so thankful I was able to be here for the beautiful services. I will always remember Uncle Eddie for his unconditional love and dedication to Aunt Gail, Cody, Blake, Brent and his grandkids. It is very rare in life that you see someone that shows as much love as Uncle Eddie did for his family. Uncle Eddie will be missed by many!

You lived a life of service and I'm so thankful we got to spend so much quality time together last year. Your legacy will continue forever. Thank you for being in my life as my uncle.
