Elvira Peterson Haslauer, 99, a native and life-long resident of New Orleans, LA died Friday, August 14, 2015 at 7:11 a.m. She is survived by her youngest daughter Maxine E. Haslauer; her grandchildren Jennifer Marie DeJean, Eric James DeJean and wife Katie, and Michael Jules DeJean; her great-grandchildren Morgan Marie DeJean, Braden James DeJean, and Jack William DeJean. Also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jules Frank Michael Haslauer; her eldest daughter Karen Haslauer DeJean; her parents Gustave and Sophie Peterson; and her brother Gustave M. Peterson, Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, 4921 West Metairie Ave., Metairie, La. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Metairie Cemetery.
