DeGRUY Emmanuel Warren DeGruy "Zunkey" was a Veteran of the U.S. Korean War, a retired Master Carpenter and Mechanic who entered into eternal life on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the age of 79. Son of the late Wilhelmina and Emmanuel DeGruy. Loving husband of Cerelia Sylvester DeGruy. Father of Roxanne (Derrick), Kirk (Deborah), Manuel (Amy), Derwin (Tanath) DeGruy, Juan Sylvester (Lanika), Karl Allmon (Monunita), and Keya Fallen. Brother of Edwin, Micheal, Wayne, Melvin, Merlin, Kenneth DeGruy, Marie Hunt, Sylvia Morris, Geraldine Lombard and the late Marleen DeGruy Lucineo, Eileen DeGruy Barton and Widner Glen DeGruy. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Lesene DeGruy. Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend the Visitation on Friday, September 30, 2011 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 Saint Phillip Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70116, (504) 822-8059, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
