I had the great pleasure of working with Eugene at the beginning of his Law Enforcement career at LSU Medical Center,as a Police Officer in New Orleans. he was always respectful even as his career progressed, he will be missed.

Imagine if I was given one moment, just a single slice of my past. I could hold it close forever, and that moment would always last. I'd put the moment in a safe, within my hearts abode. I could open it when I wanted, and only I would know the code. I could choose a time of laughing, a time of happiness and fun. I could a time that tried me, through everything I've done. I sat and thought about what moment, would always make me smile. One that would always push me, to walk that extra mile. If I'm feeling sad and low, if I'm struggling with what to do. I can go and open my little safe, and watch my moment through. There are moments I can think of, that would lift my spirits everytime. The moments when you picked me up, when the road was hard to climb. For me to pick one moment, to cherish, save and keep, is proving really difficult, as I've gathered up a heap! I've dug deep inside my heart, found the safe and looked inside, there was room for lots of moments, in fact hundreds if I tried. I'm building my own little library, embedded in my heart, for all the moments spent with you, before you had to part. I can open it up whenever I like pick a moment and watch it through, My little library act as a ppromise, I'll never ever forget you. Te amo.

Today I attended the funeral of my dear friend and brother Gene. I will miss our talks at night and his infectious laugh, his smile...especially his smile. To my family, weeping may endure for the night, but joy does come in the morning. I will continue to pray for your strength and healing. I love each of you dearly.

My condolences to the Narcisse family. I remember the last time I saw Eugene was in LSU Med. School bookstore. I hadn't seen him since high school. He helped he remember who he was. We talked for a long time. He had such a nice spirit. I know he'll be missed by many. My prayers and condolences go out to Delator, Nia and the whole Narcisse family. Eugene was a great fraternity brother and overall an amazing friend. I can sit back right now and remember like it was yesterday all the great times we had together. I'm just sorry I never got a chance to pay up all the bets we made between my Dallas Cowboys and his New York Giants. Gene, you might be gone, but you will never ever be forgotten. Even though I'm said because I cannot make the funeral, my heart and soul will be there with all your family, friends and brothers of Phi Beta Sigma. Family, I know it's a hard time right now, but as long as you believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you will see him again. I'm looking forward to that moment. Be blessed.
