I first met Felix around 2005 after Hurricane Katrina through a mutual friend, Calvin Griswold. I put a tire on his motorcycle for him and as time went on we became good friends. We enjoyed riding motorcycles together, hunting, fishing and just hanging out talking.

I have many fond memories of time spent with Felix. A few which come to mind are:

One year Felix came my house for Thanksgiving dinner . My girlfriend had invited one of her girlfriends who was over 6´ tall and beautiful. Felix sat next to her. It was so funny to see him stumbling on his words when he spoke to her. I´d never seen him like that and believe he was definitely intimidated.

Felix and I always looked forward to hunting together every year in Montgomery with his cousin Paul and good friend Harper. We always had a good time.

The last motorcycle ride we took together was early on a Sunday morning. We rode around the lakefront and then through City Park. We stopped in the park at Café Du Monde and enjoyed a cup of coffee together. Felix called the next day to tell me how much he enjoyed our ride.

We would talk at least once a week if for nothing else than to just to check in with each other. Felix was a happy person and always had a way of looking at the bright side of things.

I am sad that my good friend, Felix, left so soon and I know we are going to miss him. I am grateful to God for all the good memories.

My deepest sympathy to his family.

Felix has joined with Joyce, Felix, and Evelyn(Moms) for eternal peace with God in Heaven. Many memories of our youth and the family. Life must go on and we must continue our task of living it in a spirit of love and compassion.
My prayer,
Jimmy Delery
