Frederick Faciane Obituary

FACIANE Frederick (PopShop) Faciane died October 18, 2013 at the age of ninety-nine. He was the son of Eva and Alvarez Faciane. He is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Faciane; two brothers, Edgar Faciane and Joseph Faciane; a daughter-in-law (Evella Faciane); and a son-in-law (Lucien Daniels). He is survived by eight children: Howard Faciane (Sharon); Evelyn Daniels; Jean Brookter (Louis); Janie Jones (Ronnie); Glenn Faciane (Una); Melinda Faciane (Eric Jones) all of Slidell; and Edith Robinson (L.K.); and Lorita Broady of Vallejo, California. He is also survived by a special nephew, Ervin Faciane, of Torrance, California; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 LA Hwy 433, Slidell, LA with Father Colin Braud officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a rosary beginning at 10:15 a.m. and mass following. Interment will be at Morgan Heirs Cemetery (off Mainegra Road). Doyle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I am the Aunt to La Tasha Amos. My grandfather is the brother to "Popshop"; his nephew Herman Joseph Faciane is his nephew. It's so nice knowing finally another family member from my grandfather's side of the family.
