Gerald Lee Barrette passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the age of 78. He was born in Cheboygan, MI and a resident of Harahan, LA. Beloved husband of June Krieger Barrette. Father of Keith Barrette (Janine), Donna Barrette, Brenda Jumonville (Nick), William Barrette, Deborah Barrette and Mark Barrette. Son of the late Bernice Graham Barrette and Albert William Barrette. Brother of William Barrette (Norma), Donald Barrette (Patricia) and the late Janet Bosnak. Grandfather of Ashley, Heather, Tiffany, Sean, Aidan and Nathan. Great-grandfather of Allie and Russell. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7100 Jefferson Hwy., Harahan on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred.
