Gewayne Davis Mumphrey

Gewayne Davis Mumphrey entered eternal rest on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 67. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Gewayne was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, and Phillips College with an associate degree in Computer Programming. She was employed as a Medicaid Administrator. Beloved mother of Travis Mumphrey, Sr. Devoted grandmother of Travis Mumphrey, Jr. Daughter of the late Clarence Davis and Rosalie Winchester Royal. Sister of Cora Carter, Marion Bouton, Shelita Davis, and the late Curtis "Frog" Royal, Barbara Jefferson, Myra Davis, and Ora "Ivy Lee" Royal Decou. Mother in law of Joan Parker Mumphrey. Sister in law of Lionel Bouton, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #3, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #3 441 Wilson St. Marrero, LA on Friday August 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Norman D.
