Dear Margaret: I don't know if you remember me, but we went to Marion Park Elementary School together, you, Guy and I. I left Mississippi after 6th grade. I just learned of Guy's death. I knew of his many accomplishments and am proud that I once knew him. My name was Clara Anne Byrd. I dropped my first name and married. My name now is Anne Bower. I am so sorry for your loss and my heart is heavy that a great doctor has passed.

I'M having a hard time realizing the death of Dr. Guy & Dr. Mike. They were both such godly men. They were both my Doctor's....you tend to get very close to your Doctor's, because you can tell them anything.I had two hip replacements & 1 knee replacements,he kept me comfortable during it all.He always talked about Dr. Mike and his wife & family..I could tell he really loved you all!God says all things happen for a reason, but I miss them both so much!Mrs. Vise, my Mom used to do all your clothes at Maison Weiss. She sends her love too!You are in our prayer's daily...we love you & hope you feel better soon! I know dr. Guy is looking down on you at this very moment.
Your friends in Christ,
Barbara & John Sutton

Please know that news of your recent loss has reached us in Jackson TN. My grandmother, Bland Vise Murphy and Dr. Guy Vise Sr. were cousins. Aileen Pettit kept us all knitted together for many years.
I know that you must be devasted and pray that the good Lord will comfort you as only he can. I had dinner with Michajeh Sturdivant and his bride last night and he shared the news with us. Dr. Vise was a great man and certainly left this world a better place. Our prayers are with you.

I hold such fond memories of working with Dr. Vise at MMRC. He was the first doctor I ever worked with and he taught me the "how tos" of talking with doctors. Margaret, I was so sorry to hear about Guy. I will continue to lift you and your family in prayer for strength as you adjust to his absence. After reading the other guestbook comments, I am sure you are both strong Christians. God will give you the strength you need. Philippians 4:13 is a verse I rely on "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and that is so true. He has helped me so many times.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of another of our wonderful "Vise" physicians. Dr. Mike and Dr. Guy played a huge roll in seeing my son make it to where he is today from a traumatic brain injury at age 3. (He is now 26) One thing I remember most about Dr. Guy is that he never seemed to forget a face or a name. He was not only a wonderful physician for us but someone we called our friend. He will always be fondly remembered by our family. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with the family during this time.

My husband and I were so saddened to hear of Dr. Vise's passing yesterday. We express our deepest sympathy to the Vise Family. The news was almost too much for us as my husband lost his mother this year and I lost my father. Dr. Vise was a wonderful mentor and I have always felt grateful to him for the learning experiences and knowledge I gained while working as a young nurse in his office. He made such a difference in the lives of his patients. He was dedicated and devoted. He gave his patients his entire focus and they loved him for it! He will be greatly missed!
