Henry Melton Sr.

Henry Melton Sr., owner of Action Demolition Co. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the age of 81. He was a graduate of St Helena High School and was a devoted Jehovah's Witness. He was born on July 11, 1935, to the late Charlie Melton and Florence Bennett Melton, in Greensburg LA. He was united in marriage to the late Alberta Summers Melton and from that union they had four children, Sabrina Cole, (Playville Cole Sr.) Henry Melton Jr., (Bridgette Burns) Cyril Melton, and Donis Melton (the late Barry Smith). He is survived by his sister Francis Nutter. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marietta Wiggins, Odeal Jackson and Ruth Lawless and brother Godfrey Melton. He also leaves to cherish his 7 grandchildren Todd Armant, Avione Armant Pazon, Neadra Melton Carpenter, Criste Melton Parker, the late Joseph Melton, Amber Melton, Astin Melton, 11 great grandchildren, family, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1831 A. P. Tureaud St., New Orleans, LA.
